Recipes with Strawberry & Tasmanian Pepper syrup mixer

Our Strawberry & Tasmanian Pepper syrup works a treat with a strawberry salad, on a vanilla ice-cream or pancakes.

Le Monaco

Le Monaco is the most consumed beer cocktail in France, particularly in the South. It is widely drank in Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and...Monaco! 
In our Aussie version, we replace the grenadine syrup with our Strawberry & Tasmanian pepper syrup.
For an alcohol-free version, double the lemonade and omit the beer.

 

Ingredients for 1 serve

12cl chilled lemonade
12cl chilled beer
3cl V&G's Strawberry & Tasmanian pepper syrup

HOW TO MIX

  • Pour the syrup in a glass.
  • Pour the chilled lemonade, then the beer.
  • Drink chilled.

 

Mull it over

A signature cocktail created by the talented home bartender Helen from @sheshedcocktails.
"Today I'm using a mulled wine gin which has some incredible flavours including cinnamon, star anise and cloves to name a few. So I naturally wanted to pair it with an amazingly delicious Tasmanian Pepper and Strawberry Syrup from @violetandgold.sydney which was a match made in heaven!"

Ingredients for 1 serve

* 45ml MulledWine Gin @newydistillery
* 15ml Orange Liqueur  @knockloftyspirits
* 15ml Tasmanian Pepper & Strawberry
* Cherry Bitters @institutpolairetasmania
* Soda Water

METHOD

  • Add first four ingredients into a shaker along with ice and shake.
  • Strain into a glass
  • Top with soda water.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint.
  • Enjoy!

 

Summer treat.... for adults only 

Who doesn't like an ice treat on a hot day!? This brings a childhood's nostalgia thanks to the strawberries. It also delivers the delicate floral tones and smooth heat of the Tasmanian Pepper.

   V&G's strawberry & Tasmanian pepper sorbet 

Ingredients for 2 to 3 serves

1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup water
1/2 cup V&G's Tasmanian Pepper and Strawberry Syrup
Raspberries and fresh mint for decoration

METHOD

  • If you are using fresh strawberries, freeze them 2 to 3 hours prior. Skip this step if using frozen ones.
  • Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and whizz away.
  • Taste and add syrup or water to reach your preferred texture and sweetness.
  • Freeze for 3 hours or serve immediately with the mint leaves and raspberries.
  • Enjoy on any (hot) day!
